What is SodaBlast?

Soda blasting technology propels a bicarbonate-of-soda based media (via compressed air) onto the surface to be cleaned or stripped. This process removes paint and contaminate without harming the substrate surface.

Blast media is specially formulated sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), a non-toxic, non-hazardous food-grade material, that is 100% water soluble and is totally environmentally safe.

Soda blast particles remove surface contaminant by the energy released as the particles explode when pressure-driven into contact with the contaminant surface. The resulting release of energy disrupts the contaminate surface and blows it away, thus leaving the substrate completely unaffected.

Soda Blasting easily removes carbon, grease, oils, gasket material, surface corrosion, paint and coatings from a variety of alloys, plastics and composites without substrate damage or distortion. Soda Blasting leaves hard anodized coatings intact.
